Dr. Ajit Kulkarni places the whole theme of potency on 9 components viz.

  4. Etiological factors : maintaining, precipitating and fundamental.

  7. Suppression.

The author has vast knowledge of homoeopathic philosophy and practice and he uses it freely in his write-up. For example – in giving the disease potential as one of components of potency, he incorporates further several sub-components. In this way the whole exercise becomes very practical, both from analytical and synthetic point of view. A new section on Repetition has been introduced to guide for follow-up of a case.

At the end the author provides some cases to justify all of his philosophical and practical themes.
